Grenada, Landmine Monitor Report 2003

Grenada

Grenada signed the Mine Ban Treaty on 3 December 1997, ratified on 19 August 1998, and the treaty entered into force on 1 March 1999. It has not yet enacted domestic implementing legislation.[1] Grenada submitted its initial Article 7 transparency report, essentially a “nil” report, on 13 July 2001, but has not submitted any subsequent reports. On 22 November 2002, Grenada voted in support of pro-ban UN General Assembly Resolution 57/74. Grenada has never produced, stockpiled, or held antipersonnel landmines, and is not mine-affected.[2]

[1] Grenada did not complete Form A (National implementation measures) of the Article 7 Report submitted 13 July 2001.
